Please contact Hilary with any questions about the celebration and how you can participate.
You are invited to a Celebration of the Life of Carolyn Dobbs. The Pop-Up Museum and a reception featuring some of Carolyn’s favorite foods will run from 2:00 - 5:00 pm. A short program will begin at 3:00 pm.
As a part of the celebration, Carolyn’s family is curating a Pop-Up Museum where family and friends can share the memories, experiences and artifacts that remind and connect them to Carolyn. We hope you will participate, but participation in the museum is not required.
Here's how the Pop-Up Museum works:
You're invited to bring something to share that makes you think of Carolyn - things that she liked or things that remind you of her. At the celebration, you will place your exhibit in a museum for all to see. When you leave, you take your exhibit with you.
Some common exhibit ideas are: photos, poems, foods, a shared tradition, audio or video recordings, a special book, etc. Please contact Hilary if you would like to share a video or audio recording.
You can bring as many or as few exhibits as you like. Exhibits of all sizes are encouraged, but please no live animals! If individuals or groups (such as an academic program, a group of friends or a community organization) would like to have a whole table, just let us know by filling out this form. Exhibit labels will be available at the event. Please arrive at 1:30 pm to set up your exhibit.
Our memorial will not have an open microphone opportunity. We hope you will use the museum or our video guestbook at the event to share your memories, stories and experiences with Carolyn's family and friends.
We look forward to an afternoon full of laughter, memories and the kind of conversations that Carolyn loved so much.
